The battle scenarios were a lot of fun, the camps and the setting were great. It was also a great honor to be asked to portray the 19th in an upcoming video documentary on Indiana history, thanks to Lee Siler for pointing the film crew in our direction. I would like to thank Jerry Smith and Steve Shepherd for doing such a good job especially with putting together and administrating the guard mounts which seemed to be perpetual. I also want to thank Mark Couts and Ron Cole for jumping in and filling some needed leadership positions. Thanks to everyone that came, we had a great turn and a fun time despite the weather. July offers us the annual Live Shoot that is always a good noisy time, please note that the date has changed for that event. Also we have an event at the end of the month is Merrillville. Live Shoot at Ft.Tassinong Finally the time has come to sharpen our accuracy when shooting our newly issued 58 cal. muskets. Captain Callaway has been patiently waiting for the most correct time of the year to hold the live shoot, his wise councel has selected a warm month and promises to be a day well remembered by all who attend. Please take note : Pvt. Lee Siler has donated All of the lead for the bullets. Pvt. Siler in his most generous methods has fallen upon good times by finding a rich lead mine near his home and with rented mule and well built cart transported a handsome amount to my cabin. Comes now even more good news, a brave and talented soldier in our company with strong back and considered an luminary in his home town has taken on the task of melting the affore mentioned lead ,skimming off the impurities and then forming the lead into the bullets we shall need. Please show your appreciation to Pvt. Mike Haddad, for he has given much of his time to the most precise manufacture of these much needed bullets. Comrades please take note: We shall begin to assemble at Ft. Tassinong on 1 July 2006 not 8 July 2006 there has been a printing error or an error in communication.
